South Shore Communities Join Forces for Breast Cancer Awareness!
It’s no surprise the Silver Lake Regional High School Boys Soccer Teams had a record year of raising funds to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital. How did they do it? By selling pink flags to display at Sirrico Field, having an ice cream sales day at Nino’s Deli in Kingston, MA and holding a meat raffle at Jones River Tavern in Kingston, MA. A perfect example of a community coming together to support these boys in their efforts to raise record dollars for Breast Cancer Awareness!
Although these boys have been raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness for many years, the past three years have been extra special because of the support given by Phillips DiPisa, an AMN Healthcare Company and executive search firm serving the healthcare marketplace, located in Hingham, MA. Phillips DiPisa matched what the boys have raised during 2017, 2018 and 2019. The combination of funds raised and matched totaled $6,800! A huge accomplishment by these boys and another example of a south shore business, not only giving back to a group of young athletes trying to make a difference but to a healthcare organization in their backyard!
Congratulations to all! Below is a picture of the display made from the flag sales…
