Jennifer L. Schaulin

Jennifer Schaulin’s approach to executive search is built on a broad-based foundation of healthcare knowledge, from advanced sales experience in the medical market to corporate and consumer training.

Her experience allows her to assess and resolve the complexities of the executive searches she has conducted over the past 13 years on behalf of academic medical centers and integrated health systems. Schaulin is especially adept at digging down into the culture of stratified organizations to find common cultural themes or potential areas of conflict and she has significant experience managing large, complex search committees. Schaulin also has an expertise in pediatrics and children’s hospital leadership endeavors.

Her abilities have resulted in successful placements of many high-level candidates in leadership roles, such as: School of Medicine Dean, Academic Chair, Academic Division Chief, Hospital President, Hospital Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Quality Officer. In addition, she has placed many leaders in pediatric subspecialty positions at children’s hospitals.

Prior to her current roles at Phillips DiPisa and MillicanSolutions, Schaulin was a Director with A.T. Kearney Executive Search and a Principal with Ray & Berndtson Executive Search in the consumer products and services practices located in Fort Worth, Texas. In both of these executive search firms, she was responsible for executing search assignments for senior-level executives across a broad range of functions in consumer products, medical products, and technology companies.

Prior to her executive search experience, Ms. Schaulin had an eight-year career in medical capital equipment sales in both the radiology and cardiology fields. She spent three years as an advanced diagnostic sales specialist for intravascular ultrasound for Cordis Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson Company, and five years as a Diagnostic Imaging Account Manager for GE Healthcare in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to her sales success, Schaulin served as the sales and service team facilitator and was involved in corporate training, customer training, and mentoring of peers.

She earned a B.S. in general engineering with a secondary field of study in marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.
